Founding Stage Disclosure
YDLC is a founding-stage youth development initiative currently in formation. Our governance systems, policies, and operational structures are actively being developed in preparation for Cohort 01. This page is updated transparently as the organization evolves.
Board of Directors (Founding).
We are actively seeking one additional independent board member to strengthen governance and ensure balanced oversight.
Board formation timeline
Founder-led, two founding seats confirmed (Chair, Treasurer).
Recruit and seat an independent Youth Development board member; adopt bylaws.
Formal board expansion and committee structure, ahead of 501(c)(3) filing.

These allocations will be reviewed and updated as operations scale and formal financial reporting begins. YDLC's first annual financial report will be published after incorporation and the completion of our first operational cycle.
Raising a concern.
YDLC is committed to environments where people can learn, participate and lead safely.
If you have a concern about someone’s safety, inappropriate behaviour connected with YDLC, or conduct that should be reviewed, you can report it through our verified reporting form. Reports reach authorised personnel and may be made anonymously.
Detailed safeguarding policy will be published once it has been formally adopted.

Ahead of 501(c)(3) filing, grants, and formal partnerships, we're standing up the following.
Advisory Board (non-voting)
A small group of experienced advisors — youth development, nonprofit operations, and legal — providing guidance without formal voting authority while our governing board is still forming.
Safeguarding Officer
A formally designated role, independent of program delivery, responsible for safeguarding oversight and concern intake ahead of Cohort 01.
Finance review process
An informal but documented monthly review of founding-year spend by the Treasurer, moving to a formal audit/review process after incorporation.
Documented decision-making
Major decisions (program changes, spend above a set threshold, safeguarding policy changes) are logged in writing and reviewed by the founding board.
